Cost
PRICE : Eur 250 per person.
Price includes rental of all watercraft and related safety equipment, t-shirt, celebration dinner. Price does not include mountain bike rental, transportation to and from the event or accommodation costs either side of the event. Food during the race is not provided.

Race Rules
The Race Organisers reserves the right to add, modify, replace or cancel venues or events at any time. Race Management reserves the right to make changes and amendments to the rules and regulations at any time. In the event that changes are made, Race Management will contact all registered teams with the updates so that they may make the appropriate adjustments to their preparations for the race.

1. All racers must ensure good sportsmanship. Fellow racers and race staff must be treated with courtesy and respect. Time penalties can be imposed for any infractions, and for unsportsmanlike behaviour including, in extreme cases, disqualification.
2. All racers must assist fellow competitors in need of medical attention.

3. Racers must stay within 100 metres, and within sight of team mates. Unless directed otherwise by race staff. At the first offence, time penalties will be imposed, a second offence will result in disqualification.
4. All team members must check in together at each checkpoint (CP) and transition area (TA). Team members can leave the course only at designated CP’s and TA’s and must notify race management. Any team which leaves a team member out on the course will be immediately disqualified, They will not be allowed to continue unofficially. Incomplete teams may continue but will not be ranked or awarded prizes. Single racers cannot continue the event alone unless they join another team who must commit to staying with the new racer. Incomplete teams must carry all mandatory team equipment.
5. Mandatory Team Equipment – The items on the mandatory list are for your safety and must be carried during the event. Some of the listed items are available to rent from the race organisers, a price list will be published when the registration opens.

Mobile phone (2 per team- in waterproof cover/bag) Compass (one per person)Whistle (per person - functional in wet weather, without a pea)First Aid Kit (per team - 2x crepe bandage, 2x triangular bandage, 2x sterile dressing, 2 safety pins, selection of adhesive dressings)Foil blanket (per person)Drink (per person)Head torch/torch (per person- water resistant, with sufficient batteries.)All weather waterproof/windproof/breathable jacket. (per person- Jacket must have hood and be suitable for potentially extreme conditions. Jackets with an ePTFE/Gore-Tex membrane recommended, Nylon with PU coating not recommended.)Long sleeve top (per person - polypropylene or wool, not cotton.)Fleece outer top (per person -equivalent of 100 weight fleece. 6. Prohibited EquipmentGPS devices of any kind, including GPS pace counters
7. Race bibs/Race numbers must be worn at all times, except while paddling.
8. Teams must punch their race cards in the correct space at each CP
9. All CP’s must be reached in the correct order (unless specified). If a team misses a CP, they will be able to return but must then visit each subsequent CP in the correct sequence.
10. Racers must follow the rules of travel as outlined in the Course Instructions. When no specific path is designated teams are free to select a path to the next CP. When instructions designate a specific route, teams must follow that path.
11. No littering is allowed through out the course. LEAVE NO TRACE rules apply. Teams must dig foxholes for any solid human waste. Equipment can only be dropped at a staffed TA/CP if allowed by race rules.
12. Racers may not receive any outside assistance except from Race Officials and other registered teams. Mobile phone use is only permitted for emergency situations.
13. Race Officials reserve the right to remove a team from the course for health, safety or other reasons, at the sole discretion of race officials and medical personnel.
14. Any team withdrawing from the race must notify a ‘live’ person by either checking in with a CP/TA volunteer or by calling the race director. Failure to notify race officials will result in that team being responsible for all search and rescue expenses.
15. All time penalties will be assessed to the total time after teams cross the finish line.
16. Any protest must be filed in writing within one hour of the team’s finish and will be reviewed by the race committee.

Medical / Fitness Rules
Participants must be able to competently swim 100m without a bouyancy aid, and be physically fit enough for an endurance event.
Participants have the right to receive basic medical first-aid without the risk of being disqualified from the event. Racers must notify the race officials of any pre-existing medical conditions which may affect their ability to complete the race or which may be exacerbated by the race and race conditions.
